Hello Everyone!

The crew at Lamb Painting just got done with one of our favorite kinds of jobs…a challenge! We were recently selected to paint the St. Onge Water Tower. In order to complete the job, we had to use our lift. After we figured out how to get the lift to the job site, we had to wait for a day without too much wind. A day without wind in South Dakota is hard to find, so our crew had to put up with a slight breeze. With each gust there was a slight sway to the bucket of the lift when it was raised, so now you can see why we considered it a challenge for our crew!

Our crew also had an audience that was quite unruly. The horses that were used to having the run of the land did not like the lift when it was running. Even with these distractions, our crew produced great results with the finished water tower.

Enjoy your day,
Kaitlin

Hello everyone,

Lamb Painting is both a residential and commercial contractor. Over the past year we have had several projects of both categories, but one of the projects that we are most proud to be a part of is the construction of the new school in Harding County.

The new Harding County School will have grades K-12 in one building with an amazing gym. We have painted each one of the rooms and are happy that the children will be able to enjoy the colors surrounding them. This has been a great project for us and a better one for the residents of Harding County.

We hope they enjoy the new school!

Our owner, Don Lamb, and one of our crew leaders, Galen Goetz, attended the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America’s (PDCA) Painting and Decorating Expo in Las Vegas February 20-22. We are excited about all of the painting techniques and business practices they have brought back with them. We are constantly trying to educate ourselves and stay on the cutting edge of field. With all of the lectures they attended we are confident that we are leading the way for the painting industry in the Northern Hills of South Dakota.
One of the most exciting things about the Expo this year was that Don was able to take one of our lead men, Galen. This is a first for the company, and we know it is a huge advantage. With Galen’s attendance we are now able to implement the techniques he learned in the field. It is very important to Lamb Painting that we educate the field and office crew. Now we feel as if we are able to tackle anything our customers may send our way.
Don had the special honor of assisting with one of the PDCA’s education programs. This was an honor because Don has been going to the Expo for quite a few years now. This recognition shows his dedication to the organization and to continuing Lamb Painting’s education.
Don was very pleased with the sessions he attended. We are working on integrating the new practices that he learned into our office routine. This helps with everything from marketing to bidding and customer service.

At Lamb Painting we are proud to be the only Painting & Decorating Contractors of America accredited contractor in the Northern Hills. The PDCA is a national organization that provides its members with a code of ethics, continual education on new products and equipment, and training on how to run a professional painting and decorating business. If you are interested in learning more about the PDCA, you can follow this link to their website. In order to be accredited with the PDCA there are certain requirements that we must meet. One of these requirements is that we must be licensed and insured in the area that we operate in. This is a major benefit to our customers because our employees are insured on the customer’s property. If you are interested in hearing about more of the benefits of hiring a PDCA accredited contractor, click here!

Another requirement is that our business has to have a five year business plan. This summer we are taking a course that will help us update our business plan and control map out our future. Although it is a lot of work to create or update this document, we are happy to do it so we can continue being on the cutting edge of the PDCA accredited contractors!

When looking at our future, we see that technology will be a big part of drawing our customers in. Our plans for the rest of the summer is to finish our accreditation requirements, step up our online presence, and continue to provide our customers with quality work that they can take pride in!

Enjoy the rest of your summer!
